LOCATION

"The Cathar Country" is in the south of France, between the Cévennes mountains, the eastern end of the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea.

In the wild countryside of the Corbières and Minervois regions, impressive fortresses bear testimony to a lost civilisation.

POLLEN GATHERING AREA OF OUR BEES

As well as its rich history "The Cathar Country" has a geographical position that gives rise to particularly varied microclimates and plant life forming a miniature of France all on its own and the ideal setting for producing exceptional honey.

On the hills of La Clape and the coastal Corbières
, the bees from our hives collect pollen from the early moorland flowers to produce highly aromatic Roesemary or Thyme honey, as well as the prestigious Narbonne honey.

After being transferred to the hills of the "Upper Languedoc", they offer warm, powerful maquis and chestnut honey.

Finally, they offer their last delights with the Acacia of the Ariège foothills and, even later in the season and at ever high altitudes (over 1,500 metres), they collect delicate nectars of Raspberry, Blueberry and Rhododendron.
